New York based artist Jennifer creates bold and bright paintings using high-spirited colors, geometric shapes, and dizzying layers. She layers geometric patterns side by side, allowing them to rub up against each other creating jagged edges and a frenzied pattern overload. Over the past 20 years Jennifer has exhibited her work in major NYC shows and galleries and collaborated with a variety of partners including Crate & Barrel, Billabong, Haagen Dazs, West Elm, Hurley, The Gap, Sephora and more.
My geometric patterns are never perfect; there’s always a happy accident. I want my audience to see the mishaps, to be confused about where things end and begin; this keeps their eyes moving and their minds wondering.
I’ve always been interested in exploring new ways my paintings can be printed on surfaces. Especially in fashion and home decor. I love that VIDA gives me a platform to explore Art as Fashion.
NYC is one of my biggest inspirations - crazy color schemes, unique patterns and diverse people - I am forever in awe.
All my pieces feature high contrast and bold colors creating a visual overload for my audience
