Q: Are these masks NIOSH approved?

A: Only N95 Masks are covered by the American standard NIOSH -42CFR84, drawn up by NIOSH (National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health), the American body responsible for certifying the actual effectiveness of filtering facial devices. Please note all VIDA masks are thoroughly tested to ensure their filtration efficiency levels of 94%-99%+.

A: Our N95 Masks are FDA Approved. Our KN95 and KF94 Masks are not. They are manufactured in an FDA Registered facility. They are all thoroughly tested to ensure their filtration efficiency levels of 94%-99%+.

Q: What are the differences between N95 & KN95?

A: Both mask types offer the highest protection with a filtration efficiency of 95%-99% for the smallest particles up to 0.3micron, but the N95 has a strap that goes around the back of the head while the KN95 has two ear straps. N95s & KN95s both have an adjustable nose-bridge to secure a snug fit. The N95 masks are tested and approved by NIOSH for medical use.


Q: Can the masks be reused?

A: The number of times the mask can be reapplied depends on skin type, work setting, and activity level. However, our KN95, KF94, and N95 are a single-use mask and not intended for reuse beyond a single day.
