    • Does it cost me anything to be a member of the VIDA design community?
      There is no cost to submit a design or to be part of the VIDA designers community. You also do not have to provide any physical samples or proofs.
    • Will my VIDA accounts be deactivated if I am inactive for a period of time?
      No. Designer pages remain active unless the designer asks us to remove their page.
    • How long have you been in business?
      VIDA was incorporated in 2015 and the company officially launched late November 2015.
    • Where is your company based?
      Our corporate offices are located in San Francisco, CA.
    • How can I review a copy of the VIDA Artist contract?

    • How can I contact VIDA if I have more questions?

  • Uploading
    • How can I submit a design to VIDA?
      You can visit studio.shopvida.com to set up your collection and create your products with your original designs. It will take you less than 5 minutes to sign up and submit your designs to VIDA.
    • What kinds of designers do you work with?
      We work with a wide range of designers, including photographers, illustrators, sketch artists, watercolor / oil on canvas artists, calligraphers, sculptors, pattern designers, 3D artists and more. Any form of art that is or can be converted into a digital file can be converted into a VIDA product.
    • What rights does VIDA require over my design?
      We request exclusive rights to sell your design in the selected product category that you create. That is, if you design for a top, you may continue to sell that design for all product categories other than tops, which will be exclusively sold on shopvida.com. This allows you to get your designs out in the world while enabling our shoppers to expect exclusive, quality selections on VIDA.
    • How do I know if my design is accepted or not?
      If your design is accepted, a member of the VIDA team will reach out to you directly with your collection link to the email address you provide when you submit your designs on shopvida.com’s Design Studio. If your design is not accepted you will be informed of the same via email as well from a member of the VIDA team.

    • How many manufacturing partners do you have?
      We have over 10 partners currently across India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, and the United States, including, textile mills, direct-to-fabric, sublimation, and direct-to-garment digital printing facilities, and cut & sew units.
    • Where do you manufacture?
      We are currently manufacturing in Delhi, India, Karachi, Pakistan, Colombo, Sri Lanka, and Florida, United States.
    • Do you plan to expand manufacturing?
      Yes, we plan to expand our manufacturing over time. We will continue to find great sources of quality materials, thoughtful business leaders to partner with who care about their factory staff and their local communities, and quality and environmentally conscious processes and infrastructure - in every and all parts of the world.
  • Payment
    • How much do you pay your designers?
      We share with our designers 10% of net sales on all items that incorporate their designs - for as long as the item is sold. Designers must have a PayPal email on file with us to receive quarterly payments from VIDA.
    • How do you pay your designers?
      We pay our designers through the PayPal on a quarterly (every three months of the year) basis. 
      • January through March - Payout will be the beginning of May. 
      • April through June - Payout will be by the beginning of August.
      • July through September - Payout will be by the beginning of November.
      • October through December - Payout will be by the beginning of February.
      • (Delayed payments are to allow for an returns or potential adjustments for any orders placed at the end of the quarter since we have a 30 day return policy on all items.)
