Supporting Local

Providing Income & Masks to Those in Need

When COVID-19 began to spread in communities around the world, we redirected our resources into what mattered most, launching Protective Masks.

Today, quarantine measures are extended, people are losing the stability of full-time work and there's a shortage of protective masks. We want to provide a way for people to earn money while continuing to produce life-saving supplies like masks.

We’ve decided to meet both challenges by creating a new opportunity to earn money from home while helping us create masks for those in need.

Starting Locally

As a San Francisco-based company, we’re starting locally. We’re rolling this program out as quickly as possible to support those who have lost income in our own neighborhoods. As we learn and grow, we hope to open this opportunity up to communities in need across the country.

Providing Materials

Our material set includes enough supplies, including a mask template, to create about 45 masks and we will pay $4 for every mask made. The masks will be priced at $8.50 each so we can make sure that our makers are paid fairly and our program can continue to run and expand to different places in need, and the masks remain affordable.

Your Skills

Making a mask requires very basic sewing skills, a sewing machine or needle and thread, scissors, and a measuring tape or ruler. The fabric, elastic, and thread required to make the masks will be delivered directly to your home.

Sign up to receive information on how to get materials dropped off to your home.

Right now, this program is restricted to a maximum distance of 30 miles from the center of San Francisco.
As we continue to grow, we hope to be able to offer this same opportunity to communities across the country.

Our Community Guidelines

Our promise to you is that we'll provide you with the materials you need to make masks and pay you $4 for every mask you make. In return, we ask that you create all of the masks you have committed to make and that you do not sell the masks or materials on any other online stores, keep them, or give them away. Please read through our community guidelines for more instructions and information.
